How We Grow Our Vegetables

We have been growing vegetables at Salem Creek Farms for over 15 years, using the most sustainable and eco-friendly farming procedures. We choose heirloom varieties that grow well in our area for a product that is naturally healthy and packed with nutrients. Most importantly, our garden is pesticide and chemicals-free!

And in case you wonder, the secret to our tasty vegetables is (besides the pristine and rich soil) the creek that feeds our backyard pond. The nutrient-rich, clean pond water makes our vegetables happy and healthy. We hope it does the same for you!

    Buying local is not just about produce at peak nutrition and freshness or supporting the local farms. It’s also a way of living that promotes a healthier, more wholesome environment to pass on to future generations.

    To do our part, in addition to our sustainable, all-natural farming, we use technology to group deliveries in a way that minimizes distance traveled. While we deliver outside the 10-mile radius, we try to distribute our produce as close to home as possible.

    We have the capability to produce just the kind of mushroom you need for your most sophisticated dishes. Our mushroom farming runs year-round; you can pre-order your preferred varieties to be delivered fresh right when you need them. Types we have been growing in the past include oyster mushrooms, royal trumpet, maitake, and more.
